The cozy room was spacious, with a claw-foot bathtub in the bathroom adding a luxurious touch.Exploring the property revealed a terrace, garden, and even a moat where the grandchildren enjoyed a boat ride. The hosts, a young couple, were attentive and full of helpful suggestions for activities like golfing and cycling in the area. Their personal touch made us feel right at home.One highlight was the complimentary continental breakfast served daily, a delightful start to our mornings. The on-site art gallery with contemporary artwork added a cultural touch to the experience, showcasing the owners' passion for creativity. We also appreciated the free shuttle service, which made exploring the nearby Chateau de Chaumont a breeze.Les Douves provided a unique and memorable escape, perfectly blending history, comfort, and hospitality.
